Ishmael Kusi is the Director – Finance Business Partnership at AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited. He has over 24 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including 16 years in the mining sector.

He has worked in senior management roles with several mining companies, including Gold Fields Ghana Limited (Damang Mine), Perseus Edikan Mine and Banro Corporation Namoya Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Before joining AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem in September 2025 as the Director – Finance Business Partnership, Ishmael was the Controllership Manager at AngloGold Ashanti’s Obuasi Mine. He has led various teams and supervised and implemented continuous improvement programmes while ensuring management controls are consistently upheld. His drive for excellence has seen him introduce new measures that have created the desired Finance environment at his workplaces.

Ishmael is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) from the Institute of Professional Studies and London School of Accountancy. He is married with three children.
