Stephen Adjei is the Senior Manager – Sustainability for AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine. He was appointed into his current role in September 2019, having demonstrated immense commitment and dedication to the cause of the sustainability discipline within the AngloGold Ashanti Group.
He is a sustainable development practitioner with over 16 years transferable experience in the mining industry. He previously served as Manager – Land Access and Social Investment, and Senior Specialist – Land Access & ASM for AGA Continental Africa Region. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP); member of the Ghana Institute of Safety and Environmental Professionals (GhiSEP); member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Ghana; and member of the AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited Community Trust Fund Board; as well as Managing Partner of Dolph-Bee Company and De-Kings Hotel.
He is an accomplished specialist with a demonstrable record that confirms, it is possible to create and maintain positive relationships with government, community, and all other stakeholders.
He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Democracy, Governance, Development and Law from the University of Cape Coast, a Commonwealth Executive MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies (UDS). He also holds executive certificates in Managing Corporate Social Responsibility for Value Creation (CSR Economics and CSR Impact Measurement), Project Management, Negotiation & Influence Skills, and Safety Management.
Stephen is a recipient of the prestigious Nobles International Award, under the auspices of the West African Nobles Forum. He is married and blessed with three children (two girls and a boy). In his spare moments, Stephen enjoys reading and listening to music.
