Iduapriem Mine has placed second at the 2026 Zone One Inter Mine First Aid and Safety Competition following an impressive performance in both the oral and practical contests. The Mine emerged winner of the oral contest after delivering a flawless performance, answering every question correctly. For years, the deteriorating condition of the Nzema East Municipal Education Office in Axim presented a major challenge to the staff responsible for coordinating education across the Municipality. The situation became critical when the old building was declared structurally unsafe for occupancy by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). That story has changed. AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine has replaced the former facility with a modern, fully furnished GH¢3.7 million office complex that provides the Nzema East Municipal Education Directorate with a safer and more dignified environment to carry out its mandate.
